This 3 hour sequence of photos of Saturn and its moons, was taken by Pete Lawrence of Selsey UK on 5th Feb 2006. The truly remarkable thing about this animation is that I can find no comment  anywhere on the Web regarding the external light source. If these photos are genuine, and I think they are, it shows pretty conclusively that planets can and do produce some or even most of their own light. The pulsating nature of the light could be attributable to differing densities or magnetic properties of the rings.

Saturn here appears very similar to  classic UFO reports of flying saucers.
