                   Below is how I see the fields involved in Electrodynamic Suspension.

Fig 3 shows a possible field configuration. The red permanent magnet field continues to penetrate the conductor while moving, and is unaltered in any way. A mini dynamic gravitational field is created which is centered around the magnet and / or conductor. This DGF is then operated on, or distorted by the Earth's DGF, so that all objects within this created DGF are now off center. The resultant force will either lift the objects if unrestrained, or create drag and heat if restrained, until a point of equilibrium is reached.
I have searched extensively for diagrams or explanations regarding the fields and eddy currents associated with both Electrodynamic Suspension and Electrodynamic Braking. I can find no information on whether or not a mirror image magnetic field should have 2 polarities. If it is the eddy currents and their magnetic fields which create the powerful lift involved with Electrodynamic Suspension, or drag induced by Electrodynamic Braking, then these fields should have 2 polarities. If the polarity does not change under or through the copper plate, then there is only one polarity, and this appears to be the field from the magnet/s only. Not an induced mirror image.

I have done only limited low speed testing of a machine similar to the one above. Because these magnets are alternating there is a need for more sensors and connection to an oscilloscope. My tests indicate that the field polarity from each magnet extends through the non magnetic conductor, and does not change whether the rotor is moving or not.
