The first parts of the Rotor are 20 pieces of 0.6mm aluminum, 10 top, 10 bottom. These have been folded down 10mm on the long sides using the jig pictured. They are joined together with 20 ribs. This allows the top panels to be fixed with their joints in the center of the lower panels. This arrangement gives a lot of strength to overcome any centrifugal forces.
Flexibility, as in an airplane wing, should not be a problem as the Rotor will be held tightly within the levitational magnetic fields. The finished rotor has been shown to be very strong
