The machine is gradually requiring more equipment for testing and measuring. Most has to be hand made to suit the project and the pocket.
The timing lights are both high and low voltage to ensure that the motor coils are energised precisely.
Manual startup allows the guide wheels to be activated with simulated tacho output, and stationary rotor.
The tacho displays the rotor speed in metres per second, and sends this data to the Master control Pic.
The scales measure the machine's weight from 3 converted bathroom scales connected to a Pic and 4 digit LED display.
